Lebanon -11

So the music is now playing almost constantly from the old Dell DJ (now an antique in the MP3 player world, but still working fine!).

I have to ask - what on earth was Chris Martin thinking when he wrote the words to "Yellow" (there are SO many parodies in my mind). He needs to take a leaf from Paul McCartney's book - Mac waited quite a long time before committing "Yesterday" to vinyl primarily because he had the tune but only "Scrambled Eggs" as the lyric! Chris - WAIT before committing a nascent idea!

Anyway, we have 16 songs, half from Jon Simpson (singer guitarist), half from Charles (singer guitarist), and the rest covers - er - wait a minute, that's not mathematically all there is it? You get the idea though. We're doing Yellow (Oh, SOOOOO many phrases you could make alternative verses with - don't get me started!!) and Radiohead's Creep (which is one of those "wow! we got a decent song out of the same 4 chords being played over and over with no changes whatsoever" moments - like "With or Without you" as well!!).

They're all within my limited capabilities so THAT feels good - just gotta learn 'em now. The learnin' is happening on the old fretless at the moment since Gandalf (G and L Fretted - get it??) is being being spruced up for his holidays chez DNG (great luthiers on the east side of Paris if you wanna know).

Keep praying for funds (they're coming in, but slowly), health (BPPV etc), and for the arrangements to be completed successfully and to be executed with no probs. Pray for those we'll be playing in front of as well. I never know whether to ask for prayers for safety - it seems selfish when you look at the missionaries of history, so pray as you feel led in that respect.

More later.
